RHE

Relationships and Health Education

As part of our school’s Personal, Social, Health and Economic (PSHE) Education programme, and in line with London Borough of Ealing’s recommended scheme of work for PSHE Education, children from Reception to Year 6 will take part in RHE lessons in the Summer term. These lessons have been carefully planned to be relevant and appropriate to each year group.

We have been working with Ealing’s Health Improvement Team ( Karen Gibson) to develop an information leaflet and three videos explaining the Relationship and Health Education curriculum.

The three videos explain what Relationships and Health Education is in primary schools, the importance of RHE and what your child will be taught.

Videos available to view are:

Video 1: What is Relationships and Health Education (RHE) in primary schools?

Video 2: Why is RHE important in primary schools?

Video 3: What will my child be taught?

We teach RHE using the Ealing Scheme of work from Nursery to Y6. Parents/Carers are the most important educators of young people in personal issues, and many welcome the support that school can offer to supplement their home teaching. If you have any queries about the content of the programme or resources used, please do not hesitate in contacting Mrs Yoosuf at school. All parents/carers are able to view the materials and resources used in the lessons by making an appointment through the school office.
