My name is Elita Bartholomew, I am the Counselling Services Manager from The Ealing Schools Counselling Partnership. My role is to provide emotional support to parents/careers and children within East Acton primary School.

The Space – A Place to Talk

We have a lunchtime drop-in every Tuesday called The Space for children who may be struggling with their feelings, feel vulnerable in the playground or who have something that is concerning them. This is a place where they can come and talk alone or with a friend about their worries. If you do not want your child to use this service, please let us know.

Parents' Drop-In

As part of the service we offer a regular Parent’s Drop on zoom between 9.30am to 10.30am every Tuesday, where you can meet with me online. This is a confidential space in which you may discuss any concerns you have about your child(ren) and/or receive emotional support due to difficulties that maybe going on in your life i.e. bereavement, separation, stress, anxiety, etc. If you would like to attend or would like more information contact me on; Tel: 07469 701260, E-mail: barte151.307@lgflmail.net or leave a message with the school office and I will get back to you.

I also work alongside Chun-Hua Siong who is a Trainee Therapist. Chung-Hua works with children 1-1 in therapy, using play and the arts to process and manage difficult feelings and work through past and present challenging life events.

The Ealing Schools Counselling Partnership is working to improve the emotional wellbeing of Children, parents and staff by working with the whole school community.

Sometimes we could all do with someone to talk to.  We can help if you are concerned about your child of if you would like to talk about any worries that are affecting you or your family.

We aim to work in partnership to:

Provide everyone with a confidential space where thoughts and feelings can be explored.

Raise children's self-esteem to help them feel more confident and build positive relationships at home and at  school.

Offer practical and emotional support to families and carers helping them to better understand and communicate   with their children.
